Mundy’s Bay announce debut album ‘Lonesome Valley’

MUNDY’S BAY have announced their debut album!

Titled Lonesome Valley, the upcoming album from the dreamy post-punk unit is their debut full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in March this year.

The upcoming album was engineered and produced by Kurt Ballou [CONVERGE, JOYCE MANOR, CODE ORANGE], Lonesome Valley seamlessly melds shoegaze grandeur with effervescent melodies and the evocative lyrics of vocalist/keyboardist Esther Mulders to make a sound that’s invitingly familiar yet fresh.

Speaking about the sound shown on their upcoming album, guitarist Victor Beaudoin says, “we wanted to let it develop naturally and tried a lot of different styles when we first started playing together. Working as a unit is what really shapes the sound. One person brings an idea but since we write together, it becomes its own thing.” Vocalist/keyboardist Esther Mulders adds, “I like to be universal with lyrics and leave room for the messages to be interpreted by the listener. I’m inspired by what the guys write, they spark ideas for me and vice versa.”

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for the first song to be lifted from the upcoming album; titled Goodbye.
