Nanoseconds release new music video for ‘Bee Stinger’

NANOSECONDS have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Bee Stinger, is the first single to be taken from the Chicago-based post punk outfit’s upcoming new EP Mid West Coast, which is scheduled to be released in spring this year. More details will be available soon.

Speaking about the new song, the band comment, “Bee Stinger‘s idea came from an early 00’s indie rock influence. Our goal with it came from wanting to merge that fast, busy tempo, almost spoken-word-like verse with a power pop chorus WEEZER/JIMMY EAT WORLD Style. Something catchy that was simple, and would add contrast to the very chaotic verse/pre chorus. But that it also had some distorted guitars and weight to it.

On the lyrics, they add, “It came from my frustration with the dating scene when I moved to the West Coast. Online dating was the norm, which was very different and frustrating, especially coming out from an ugly breakup and long-term relationship. It was a whole new world where being honest, and speaking your mind about your intentions worked against you. So through trial and lots of errors, I had to adjust to this new reality. I was living in the Bay Area at the time I wrote it, and the tech world with all its bro’s dominated the scene, which attracted a bunch of people I did not want any interactions with whatsoever and sorting through piles of rubble trying to find rare pots of gold was incredibly exhausting. There is a happy ending in the sense that I did meet my actual girlfriend through online dating apps, but I wish it did not take me six years until I connected with her… LOL.
