Nick Johnston announces new album ‘Child Of Bliss’
NICK JOHNSTON has announced a new album!
Titled Child Of Bliss, the upcoming album from the Canadian instrumental progressive musician is the follow-up to 2021’s Young Language, and is scheduled to be released in March this year, via self-release.
With Nick handing keys/synths and guitar duties, the upcoming album features a collection of guest musicians who help bring his creative vision fully to life: Eli Bishop (strings), Liam Mitro (sax, woodwinds) Mark Rynkun (bass) and Thomas Lang (drums). The album was mixed by Scott Giffin and mastered by Noah Mintz.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the guitarist has released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; the title track Child Of Bliss. Speaking about the new song, he says, “Child Of Bliss is a great representation of where I’m at as a musician. Instrumental music written on a piano and expressed on the electric guitar. I’m always looking for new ways of expressing myself and my melodies, and having string and brass accompaniment on this track really helps build the world that this song tries to live in. I’m happy with every aspect of this piece!”
