Nocturne Wulf release new track by track guide for self-titled album

NOCTURNE WULF have released a new track by track guide for their upcoming album!

NOCTURNE WULF have engineered a sound that calls upon the ferocious drive of SLAYER, underpinned by the mastery of IRON MAIDEN and METALLICA. Ahead of the release of their self-titled new album, this Friday, we asked the guys to give us an exclusive track by track breakdown of the album.

Gunslinger

This is a song which regards the story of Roland Deschain from the series The Dark Tower. It’s a nod to old thrash songs of the 80s musically. This song talks of Roland climbing to the top of the tower to defeat the evil that is there.

Necrodancer

Necrodancer is about a fictious ghost Daemon that appears behind you when you don’t expect it, appearing to dance around you scaring you with his red eyes.

Hell’s Heart

Loosely based on the story of Moby Dick, Hell’s Heart tells the story of a crew of warriors wanting to defeat a Leviathan from a different dimension, but realising that by the time the crew reached the monster, they realise they are doomed.

The Druid

The ballad of the album. This song is about Merlin, and his power and influence over the realm. The song is based on the idea that Merlin is the druid, and he travels around trying to help all who comes into contact with him.

Stormrage

A classic thrash song, this song is fast and hard hitting. It concerns the night elf Illidan Stormrage who is half elf, half Daemon. The song is about Illidan trying to defeat the Daemonic onslaught by changing from a night elf to a half Daemon.

Deadman

Deadman is a medium tempo song which is about the wrestler, The Undertaker and how he cannot be deferred by mortal men. His resilience and undead persona have made him also invincible and nothing scares him.

Barbarian

The barbarian is about a mighty warrior conquering lands by use of bloodshed and warfare. It is loosely based on Attila the Hun, but the lyrics can be changed to any of the great warlords throughout our history.

Chariots Of Debris

This is based in the world of Warhammer. This specifically deals with the Viking space warriors the Space Wolves trying to find their lost leader Logan Grimnir. He is known to be pulled on a chariot by wolves, and the world they live on is Fenris, hence why the song is called Chariots of Fenris.

The Wolf

Taking inspiration from the video game and novel series The Witcher. This concerns The Witcher mutating more into a wolf and being on the hunt. This song is probably the most different than the other songs as it is low tuned and is slower. We decided to call this one The Wolf, just as a nod to our band name.

Troll Hunter

Troll Hunter is about the Norwegian found footage film Troll Hunter. This is about Hans, the professional troll Hunter fighting some of the biggest and most dangerous trolls in Norway. This is a quick thrashy song that is not a long song, but has maximum impact.

Nocturne Wulf is set for release on July 19th via self-release.
