North Atlas release new music video for ‘Rivers’

NORTH ATLAS have released a new music video!

The Scottish alternative rock band have unveiled Rivers, their first new music from an ambitious new creative chapter that blends industrial rock with Scottish and Celtic folk traditions. The new single arrives as the first instalment of a larger interconnected project, which the band plan to unveil in stages aligned with events in the solar calendar, beginning on the Autumn Equinox.

Speaking about the concept behind the new era, the band explains, “where we grew up, we have always been aware of how the ancient world clashes with modernity. We were raised in a place where the internet & stone circles existed alongside each other, in a landscape of mountains & windfarms.”

Filmed throughout the band’s native Galloway, the cinematic video further expands the song’s themes. During filming, the band discovered an inscription on a hilltop tombstone that unexpectedly mirrored the song’s lyrics, reinforcing the project’s exploration of Scottish history, folklore and identity. The song was recorded in rural Scotland and produced in collaboration with Dan Weller (ENTER SHIKARI, HOLDING ABSENCE).
