Nyt Liv announce new album ‘Den døde sol’
NYT LIV have announced a new album!
Titled Den døde sol, the upcoming album from the Danish hardcore band is their second full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via Indisciplinarian.
The upcoming album was recorded in the band’s Danish homeland; Brad Boatright [NAILS, MODERN LIFE IS WAR] handled mastering duties while Jacob Bredahl [LLNN, LIFESICK] served as producer. Lyrically, the album is described as straight forward Danish poetry, telling stories of life and social indignation, overcoming adversity, of dealing with loss, selfishness, choices and how we all live our lives, without the use of sophisticated words or metaphors.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released the first song from the upcoming album; Givet op. Speaking about the new single, vocalist Michael Aagesen says, “this is definitely one of the most upbeat rock songs on this album with an almost festive chorus. The lyrics are about losing your dreams and getting stuck with the wrong people, but at the same time a strong call to take responsibility for yourself again.”
