ONI announce new album ‘The Silver Line’
ONI have announced a new album!
Titled The Silver Line, the upcoming album from the Canadian progressive metalcore project is the follow-up to last year’s Loathing Light, and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Ironshore Records.
The upcoming new album was produced, mixed, and mastered by the duo of SPIRITBOX bassist, Josh Gilbert and Joe McQueen [AS I LAY DYING, LIGHT THE TORCH, BAD WOLVES]. Discussing the upcoming release, band mastermind Jake Oni elaborates, “this album is different completely from anything I’ve done before. It’s the new direction for ONI sonically, with Josh Gilbert and me at the helm writing and Joe McQueen mixing and getting the best vocal takes from me. It’s banger after banger, from heavy tracks like Cyanide through to melodic, uplifting songs like Aura, this album will have something for everyone to enjoy!”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new song from the upcoming album; Aura. The new song features a guest appearance from Howard Jones [LIGHT THE TORCH, ex-KILLSWITCH ENGAGE] and follows on from previous singles, Underneath My Skin and Silence In A Room Of Lies, both of which will appear on the upcoming album.
Speaking about the new song, Jake says, “Aura is a collaboration between friends. It’s always great to work with Howard and Josh. It feels like this song was made a lifetime ago, so I’m stoked for everyone to hear it.”
