Opeth announce UK tour

OPETH have announced a UK tour!

Set for October and November, the tour will see the Swedish progressive rock juggernauts touring across the UK in support of their upcoming new album In Cauda Venenum which is scheduled to be released later this year.

The run of UK performances include a show at the legendary Palladium in London as well as a headlining performance at this year’s Damnation Festival.

Speaking about the tour, frontman Mikael Akerfeldt says, “well, SKID ROW made that album, Slave To The Grind (great LP!) and that’s what we (all) are. The new album is finished and it’s called In Cauda Venenum and of course there’s a tour planned in support of this. The UK is our ‘home away from home’ and we’re coming over for a few shows. I’m very much looking forward to this. We’ll play something old, something new, something horrible and something true. Take care until then….well, after ‘then’ too.”

Tour dates are as follows:

Tue 29th Oct – LONDON Palladium
Fri 31st Oct – GLASGOW SWG Galvanizers
Fri 1st Nov – DUBLIN Olympia Theatre
Sat 2nd Nov – LEEDS University, Damnation Fest (headliner)
Sun 3rd Nov – BRISTOL O2 Academy

In Cauda Venenum is set for release later this year via Moderbolaget/Nuclear Blast Records.
