Orbit Culture announce new album ‘Nija’

ORBIT CULTURE have announced a new album!

Titled Nija, the upcoming album from the Swedish metal band is their brand new full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in August this year, via Seek & Strike.

Citing METALLICA and GOJIRA as their main heavy influences, ORBIT CULTURE are a band who love to experiment with wide range of sounds and textures to create something that is fresh but also familiar. Speaking about their influences, vocalist/guitarist Nikas Karlsson says, “as much as we love metal, we love other music, too. We love a good hard-hitting song as much as the next guy, but we’ve always found that blending and mixing genres seems more fun for us at least, rather than deciding on a specific genre to write within the metal scene. It really helps us to be creative and motivated. I’m guessing that is something that we’ll always do.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for the first song to be lifted from the upcoming album; Open Eye. The new music video was first premiered via Metal Hammer Germany.

Speaking about the new song, Karlsson says, “with our latest track Open Eye and its violent, filthy tone and thrashy fast-paced style, we decided it was time to reveal the band more in this one to invite you to jump along on this crazy ride. The song and its lyrics are one of the more direct in-your-face tracks on our upcoming record Nija. Expect a fist to the skull that’ll force you to the floor and lay exhausted craving for more.”
