PREMIERE: Aftermind – HighView

Distorted Sound is delighted to premiere the brand new EP from Aussie rockers HIGHVIEW!

Fusing uplifting and empowering melodies with captivating chorus structures, Aftermind, the brand new EP from Australian newcomers HIGHVIEW is a wonderful listen. Arriving a year on from their debut EP Take Your Time, this new bout of heavy rock will surely mark the band as one to watch and we here at Distorted Sound are delighted to premiere the whole record ahead of its release on Friday.

Speaking of the EP, the band says, “this year has been a whirlwind of great experiences for us. Throughout the whole writing, recording and mixing process for this EP, we pushed ourselves to make it the best we could, agonising over little changes and tweaks, and evolving the songs together as a band. We progressively built up what we wanted our sound and message to be. We finished up the final mix and barely had a moment to breathe before we headed out on tour, where we got to experience how those songs took on another life in front of a crowd, evolving what they meant to us, and seeing how they made people feel. That’s been incredibly exciting. You never know how people are going to react to the music that you’ve poured yourself into, and it’s so great to see people really enjoying it. The best part of touring has been hanging out with the punters and getting to know the other bands. Everyone has been super enthusiastic, they’ve been blown away by the performance, and they’re keen to see more. Whilst on tour we were given to opportunity to sign on with Dirthouse Agency for management, and we are beyond stoked to be able to work with them. With the shows done and dusted, we can’t wait to get the EP out there and into people’s earholes, get them into our sound and excited to see us live. So many things are falling into place for us, and we’ve got some amazing plans for the rest of 2018 and beyond.”

Aftermind is set for release on June 1st via self-release.
