PREMIERE: Back Home – Obey

Distorted Sound are delighted to premiere new track Back Home from Staffordshire based doom trio OBEY!

Since forming in 2008 they have three full length albums firmly under their belts alongside appearances at Surface Festival and Sziget Festival as well as the almighty Bloodstock Open Air which has set them in good stride as they endeavour to record their fourth studio release entitled Swallow The Sun, due for release on April 5th.

The track was produced by Sam Bloorat Lower Lane Studios and it touches on personal subject matter which will be relatable to many people as it contains the topic of dealing with a family member who suffers from dementia. Talking about the track, the band says, “the track describes trying to get the person back who’ve you’ve known all your life, but each day they are slipping further away, and you come to accept that, thus the lyrics ‘it’s a long way back home, where do we go from here'”.
