PREMIERE: Chapter One : Love – Alchemists

Distorted Sound is pleased to premiere the brand new album from ALCHEMISTS!

The band’s unique and powerful style incorporates musical influences from death metal, progressive metal and hardcore like a jam session between members of PERIPHERY, MESHUGGAH and NORTHLANE. The songs are complex and aggressive, yet they’re also replete with strong hooks and grabbing melodies.

Titled Chapter One : Love, the upcoming album from the Swiss progressive metallers is their debut full-length effort and ahead of its release this Friday, we here at Distorted Sound are delighted to give the album it’s full premiere two days ahead of release!

Speaking about their debut album, guitarist Marc Chevalley tells us, “Chapter One : Love took us two years of work. This band was founded by different members from Swiss bands including MAKE ME A DONUT, BURIED SKIES and PATH OF DESOLATION and the whole process was a big collaboration with the greatest of our network with whom we used to work and were interested in taking part of this project. Martin Gronnier from THE DALI THUNDERING CONCEPT took care of production and drums while we recorded guitars with Vladimir Cochet at Conatus Studio and recorded vocals and basses ourselves. The album was mastered by Pierrick Noël at l’Atelier Mastering. We had the chance to work with two great singers for two guest spots, Randy Schaller from VOICE OF RUIN and Philippe Charny from KADINJA. They have very specific voices that fit perfectly to the tracks (Osvominae and About Amber). We are very proud of the result and we have the pleasure to show you the full album today!”
