Rendezvous Point announce new album ‘Dream Chaser’

RENDEZVOUS POINT have announced a new album!

Titled Dream Chaser, the upcoming album from the Norwegian progressive metal band is the follow-up to 2019’s Universal Chaos, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Long Branch Records.

The upcoming album delves deep into the realm of artistic exploration, focusing on the relentless pursuit of perfection. Speaking about the upcoming album, the band says, “artists often strive a whole lifetime searching for something abstract, a feeling of perfection in what you do or create. Since it’s an abstract and subjective thing, the artists‘ search for perfection often results in a lifetime of always wanting more, better, bigger and deeper. This leads to chasing something unclear and un-touchable, like a dream. It seems real and reachable, but never is.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Oslo Syndrome. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Don’t Look Up.

Speaking about the new song, vocalist Geirmund Hansen says, “the seduction and excitement of the unknown can sometimes overshadow moral standards and everyday life. Insights from traveling with artists and musicians creates this description of when something exciting gets out of control.”
