Sarin announce new album ‘You Can’t Go Back’
SARIN have announced a new album!
Titled You Can’t Go Back, the upcoming album from the Canadian post-metal band is their third full-length album and is scheduled to be released in February this year, via their new home at Prosthetic Records.
Speaking of joining the ranks of Prosthetic Records, vocalist/guitarist David Wilson says, “we’ve always thought of Prosthetic as being at the forefront of modern heavy music, whether that’s all out hardcore or more drawn out and experimental styles, and we’re ecstatic to be sharing the space with bands like UNDEATH and VILE CREATURE. I still get excited seeing the same Prosthetic Records logo on our album that I saw on so many albums I loved growing up.”
The upcoming album was recorded at The Sugar Shack in London, Ontario by Simon Larochette and later mastered by James Plotkin, and it intends to capture the band’s crushing post-metal at its dynamic best.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Reckoner.
Speaking about the new song, Wilson adds, “Reckoner is about scrambling and ultimately failing to hold on to an old identity. The record was written during a period of personal change, and the song encapsulates the struggles and rewards of consciously choosing to take more command of your life. Sonically, it’s probably one of the most direct songs we’ve ever written, and serves up the heaviness with as little fluff as possible.”
