Saxon announce new album ‘Gods Of Thunder’
SAXON have announced a brand new album!
The British heavy metal legends have revealed their new album, Gods Of Thunder, which is scheduled for release on January 22nd via Silver Lining Music. The upcoming record follows 2024’s Hell, Fire And Damnation and sees SAXON continuing to draw inspiration from history, mythology, fantasy and classic heavy metal storytelling.
Produced by vocalist Biff Byford and mixed by Andy Sneap (JUDAS PRIEST, EXODUS, ACCEPT), the new album features ten tracks spanning Celtic mythology, historical events and espionage, with the band’s trademark blend of soaring vocals, twin-guitar leads and thunderous rhythms at the forefront. Discussing the album, he shares, “we had great fun making this album. This is gonna be one to beat!”
To coincide with the announcement, SAXON have also unveiled Gods Of Thunder, the title track from the forthcoming record. Speaking about the new single, Byford shares, “Gods Of Thunder is a mighty tale of Celtic mythology, packed with the spirit and power of true heavy metal. Turn it up and bang your head!”
