Sigh announce new album ‘Goh-ka’
SIGH have announced a brand new album!
Titled Goh-ka, the upcoming release from the legendary Japanese avant-garde metal pioneers is set for release on September 4th via Peaceville Records. The record follows 2022’s Shiki and arrives as the band’s latest exploration of metallic extremity, progressive experimentation, and psychedelic innovation, while remaining firmly rooted in their black metal origins.
According to band mastermind Mirai Kawashima, Goh-ka is as personal an album as Shiki, drawing together influences ranging from CELTIC FROST, VOIVOD, and BLACK SABBATH to horror cinema, classical music, progressive rock, and Japanese culture. The album also features a guest guitar solo from Mikael Åkerfeldt (OPETH) on Unputenpu.
