Silverstein announce new album ‘A Beautiful Place To Drown’

SILVERSTEIN have announced a new album!

Titled A Beautiful Place To Drown, the upcoming album from the Canadian band is their ninth full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in March this year. The release of the new album comes in the year that the band celebrate their 20th anniversary.

The upcoming album was recorded with producer/engineer Sam Guaiana and features a number of guest spots from UNDEROATH‘s Aaron Gillespie, BEARTOOTH’s Caleb Shomo, SIMPLE PLAN’s Pierre Bouvier, INTERVALSAaron Marshall, and Princess Nokia.

Speaking about the upcoming album, guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau says, “to me, the best way to honor the anniversary is to keep doing what got us this far. Being adventurous has always been part of what the band does, we keep focusing on moving forward.” Vocalist Shane Told adds, “we have so many fans that have been with us from the beginning and have grown up with us, but at the same time we have new people that come on board with each album. So we really do try to find a way to please the people who have been with us from the start while also having some modern aspect to what we do.”

Speaking about the album’s lyrical themes, Rousseau continues, “everywhere you look people are dealing with these controlling invisible forces like anxiety and depression. It can be a suffocating presence.” Told adds, “everything that’s going on in the world can directly affect your mental state, and that strife is so palpable that it’s found its way into the songs.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming record; Infinite. The new song features a guest appearance from UNDEROATH‘s Aaron Gillespie.
