Slam Dunk Festival announce first eight bands

Slam Dunk Festival have announced the first eight bands for next year’s festival!

Ready to return for another year, the UK’s biggest alternative party have confirmed the first eight names to perform at 2019’s festival!

Leading the charge in this morning’s announcement is pop punk icons ALL TIME LOW, punk rockers NOFX and pop punk stalwarts NEW FOUND GLORY. WATERPARKSGALLOWSSTORY OF THE YEARMAD CADDIES and SILVERSTEIN have all been confirmed to perform at 2019’s festival.

Speaking about performing at Slam Dunk 2019, ALL TIME LOW‘s Alex Gaskarth says, “there’s been a bit of an ATL drought in the UK recently so we thought it best to come back and tear shit up with some rad bands. Bring your life jackets.” Chad Gilbert of NEW FOUND GLORY says, “we are the Michael Jordan of Slam Dunk. And we are coming to alley oop all our jams down your faces” whilst STORY OF THE YEAR’s Ryan Phillips adds, “we are crazy stoked for Slam Dunk, especially since we haven’t been to the UK in ages! We’re itching to get over there and jam some tracks from our latest album Wolves, so get ready to have your face melted off and have all of your beer drunk by us dummies.”

Speaking about their return to the festival, Laurent Barnard of GALLOWS says “we’ve tried to bury GALLOWS so many times, but the fucker just won’t die. I guess we’ll see you in May!” Stuart Gili-Ross of GALLOWS also comments, “Leeds & Hertfordshire. These will both feel like hometown shows for us. The time feels right for a GALLOWS show & we’re coming in hot.”

Alongside the announcement of the first wave of bands, the festival has also announced plans for a new site for Slam Dunk North, moving to Leeds’ Temple Newsam Estate. The festival will now take place across two greenfield sites in Leeds and Hatfield on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2019.

Slam Dunk Festival 2019 takes place on Saturday May 25th in Leeds and Sunday May 26th in Hatfield. Tickets priced at £59 are on sale now and can be purchased here.
