Slam Dunk Festival announce seven new bands

Seven new bands have been announced for this year’s Slam Dunk Festival!

After revealing the bulk of this year’s lineup for the once-again-rescheduled dates for September’s festival back in March, now, another seven bands have been announced for the UK’s biggest alternative party.

Post-hardcore veteran turned folk-punk songwriter FRANK TURNER & THE SLEEPING SOULS, iconic punk rock group ALKALINE TRIO, Welsh emo-rockers FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, synth-pop outfit HELLOGOODBYE, homegrown ska-punk quintet CAPDOWN, Liverpool metallers LOATHE and theatrical pop-punk band AS IT IS have all been confirmed for this year’s festival.

The newly announced bands replace REEL BIG FISH, COUNTERPARTS, KNUCKLE PUCL, BASEMENT and FACE TO FACE who have all had to sadly withdraw from the lineup.

Speaking about the newly announced bands and the upcoming festival, director Ben Ray says, “we’ll be celebrating Slam Dunk Festival’s 15th Anniversary in September and I’m so happy these newly announced artists will be joining us! Although the re-opening date has moved to July, we are even more confident that the festival will go ahead this year, thanks to the positive news from the test events and the rapid vaccination program taking place. With the overwhelming support shown by our fans who have kept a hold of their tickets and those who have bought tickets recently too, we know how important it is that we do our best to deliver a brilliant show this September.”
