SLIFT release new song ‘The Day of Execution’
SLIFT have released a new song!
The Toulouse, France-based heavy psychedelic rock band have unveiled The Day Of Execution, the second single to be lifted from their upcoming new album Fantasia, which is set for release on June 5th via Sub Pop.
The new single arrives alongside an animated lyric video directed by Ben Amos Cooper, showcasing one of the album’s most intense and electrifying moments.
Speaking about the track, the band explains, “The Day Of Execution is about the effect of time passing on each and every one of us, and about memory loss. It portrays the nostalgia that creeps into us as time goes by. Fantasia is such an ancient city that it no longer remembers itself, and this gradually alienates its inhabitants.”

The band have also announced an extensive run of headline and festival dates across the US, Europe and the UK throughout late 2026 and early 2027.
