Sodom announce new EP ‘Bombenhagel’

SODOM have announced a new EP!

Titled Bombenhagel, the upcoming EP from the German thrash metal legends is the follow-up to 2020’s Genesis XIX and is scheduled to be released in August this year, via SPV/Steamhammer.

The upcoming EP arrives after a year that brought the world to a standstill. Cancelled shows, COVID-19 lockdowns, and more, the EP intends to be a stop-gap until normality returns and live music makes his much anticipated return.

Speaking about the upcoming EP, bassist/vocalist Tom Angelripper says, “originally we had planned to bring out the record in time for this year’s summer festival season, including a sticker with all confirmed tour dates. Of course, the way it looks at the moment, all festivals will be postponed until 2022. But the EP will be released anyway, as a sign of life. As a signal to our fans: We’re still around! The story continues.”
