Spice announce new album ‘Viv’

SPICE have announced a new album!

Titled Viv, the upcoming album from the Californian-based band is the follow-up to 2020’s self-titled debut album, and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via Dais Records.

Engineered by Jack Shirley and mixed/mastered by Sam Pura in Oakland, the mix on the upcoming album intends to achieve that rare balance of every element being elevated but distinct, with voices, strings, and drums each given space to blaze parallel paths. Vocalist Ross Farrar explains the chemistry on Viv succinctly. “We all got in a room and this is what came out.” Named for a precursor project of bassist Cody Sullivan and violinist Victoria Skudlarek, Viv also alludes to broader notions of vividness, sonic, visual, and otherwise.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video from the upcoming album; Any Day Now.
