Stand Still announce debut album ‘Steps Ascending’

STAND STILL have announced their debut album!

Titled Steps Ascending, the upcoming album from the Long Island-based melodic hardcore band is their debut full-length record, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via DAZE.

The upcoming debut record was produced and mixed by Greg Thomas at Silver Bullet Studios, with additional mixing by Chris Teti, and mastered by Kris Crummett at Interlace Audio.

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; In The Dying Light Of A Setting Sun. The new song is the third single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from the title track and Mysticism.

Speaking about the new song, vocalist Gerry Windus says, “the ‘setting sun’ in this track is one’s lifespan running short, and the ‘dying light’ describes the remains of one’s motivation to live a fulfilling life. These lyrics describe my personal struggle to capture the childlike imagination that surrounded my early creative years while lacking the drive of a younger version of myself, a drive that I am well aware I may never get back.”
