Steelhouse Festival announces first bands for 2027

Steelhouse Festival have announced the first wave of bands for their 2027 edition!

The Welsh mountain-top rock festival will return from July 23rd-25th, 2027, with FLORENCE BLACK confirmed as Friday night’s headliner and MASSIVE WAGONS set to appear as Sunday special guests.

The announcement marks the first batch of artists confirmed for the festival’s 16th edition, with additional appearances from JOHN 5 & THE CREATURES featuring WEDNESDAY 13, THE FELL, FM, CROBOT, SISTERS DOLL, KEZIA GILL, JAYLER, THESE WICKED RIVERS, ASOMVEL, FIREHEART and AETHORIA.

Speaking about their headline slot, FLORENCE BLACK says, “it is an honour to headline Steelhouse! From our first appearance in 2017 to every time we’ve played since, this festival has always meant so much to us. As a Welsh band, headlining a Welsh festival so close to home makes it even more special. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. We can’t wait to see you all up the mountain!”

Reacting to their return to the festival, MASSIVE WAGONS vocalist Baz Mills says, “last time we were up the mountain was 2019, and we’ve bloody missed the place! We’ve been all over Europe since then, but there’s something special about Steelhouse. One of the best rock festivals in the UK! The Steelhouse massive, the atmosphere, the killer line-ups, good friends and good times, it’s everything a rock festival should be. We can’t wait to get back up that mountain and make some noise! Roll on Steelhouse 2027!”

Festival organisers Max and Mikey add, “we’re really buzzed with this first wave of SHXVI acts. There are legendary names, there’s the best of British and it’s always exciting to mix it up a touch, specifically this time with a true country-rock hybrid. And of course, as proud Welshmen, dialling ‘M’ for Merthyr and getting FLORENCE BLACK to, quite deservedly, headline the opening night gives us much, much joy. As with THOSE DAMN CROWS and SKINDRED before them, having a Welsh band at the top of the bill always makes for something unbelievably special and unique. It’s their only festival show next summer, we can’t overstate how powerful and emotional this Steelhouse set will be.”
