Surprise You’re Dead announce virtual festival ‘A Taste Of Isolation’

UK promoters Surprise You’re Dead have announced a virtual festival!

Titled A Taste Of Isolation, the virtual festival from the UK-based promoters aims to bring bands in the scene together to cover the likes of of MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, THE USED, PAPA ROACH and many more in support of #SaveOurVenues.

Among the lineup of bands set to perform is HOLDING ABSENCE, DEATH BLOOMS, DELAIRE THE LIAR, JAMES AND THE COLD GUN, Lizzy Farrall, Luke Rainsford and WARGASM. As to whose playing who, you guess is as good as ours. All details about who the acts will be covering will be revealed on the livestream, from Surprise You’re Dead Music’s Facebook page on Saturday 20th June from 7PM. It’s a free stream but they’re encouraging you to donate to #SaveOurVenues campaign run by Music Venues Trust.

“So many of my friends that own and run venues have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. With your help we can come together, raise some much-needed funding and make a difference,” explains Surprise You’re Dead promoter Ryan Cornell. “There isn’t enough being done for our grassroot venues. Every band no matter how big, started in grass root venues, every music fan went to their first show in an independent venue. This sector on the whole is being overlooked and if we can’t get the help from our Government, we need to help it ourselves. On what was meant to be a very exciting day, I hope above all else you can enjoy this special show with us.”

Be sure to check out our ongoing threads of bands livestreaming during the COVID-19 pandemic!
