The Intersphere release new song ‘Antitype’

THE INTERSPHERE have released a brand new song!

The song, titled Antitype, is taken from the German band’s upcoming fifth album The Grand Delusion, which is scheduled for release on Friday.

Speaking about the track, vocalist and guitarist Christoph Hessler says, Antitype was one of the first songs we wrote for the new album. It forms the basis for the content, from which the overall album idea The Grand Delusion developed. The song describes the social powerlessness in the capitalist system, the illusion of liberal thinking in borderless growth, the physical and emotional self-exploitation, a cynical development that has long since passed the apex of social and societal utility and, historically speaking, inevitably collapses in recurrent cycles.”

The upcoming record is the follow up to 2014’s Relations in the Unseen, and was produced by Christoph Hessler and THE INTERSPHERE, mixed and co-produced by Moritz Enders and mastered by Robin Schmidt. It was also recorded live at Toolhouse Studios in Rotenburg, Germany and features artwork from Pierre Schmidt Dromsjel.

Speaking about the album, Christoph Hessler says, “the production aimed at recording the four main instruments live and as close up, big and detailed as possible, and thus duplication was largely avoided. We also experimented with new open tunings and countless distortion and fuzz pedals that make the sound more distorted and dirty. But there are also a couple of opulently arranged songs that enrich the sounds of THE INTERSPHERE with new colours and facets that people have never heard from us before.”

The Grand Delusion is set for release November 30th via Long Branch Records.
