Torchbearer announce new album ‘Solace’

TORCHBEARER have announced a new album!

Titled Solace, the upcoming album from the London-based hardcore band is their brand new full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in January next year, via self-release.

Produced by Charlie Wilson [TRC, COUNTING DAYS], the upcoming album intends to display the band’s relentless ethos and approach – whose new material discusses racial prejudice, police brutality, corruption, confinement and mental health. Over the last 18 months the band have been directly impacted by the issues they confront in their material. TORCHBEARER have long strived to imbue positivity throughout, but it is undeniable that Solace captures a relentlessly bleak chapter of their lives. The band lost loved ones, dealt with mental health struggles, and – much like the rest of the world – experienced existential and political disillusion.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Dopesick. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album; following on from the release of Frostbite, which was released last month.

Speaking about the new song, frontman Andy Mansell says, “I wanted to address the way lives are destroyed by addiction, when all you need is more and what’s keeping you going is killing you.”
