Veridian release new music video for ‘Easier’

VERIDIAN have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Easier, is taken from the UK alt-rockers’ latest EP, NoVella, which was released back in January.

The band had planned for the video to be released in between their debut tour of Canada with ROSEVIEW at the end of April, and before their UK run with COURAGE MY LOVE in May. The video was shot in a much colder January – during low tide the band loaded all of their equipment onto the tower, around half a mile out to sea. After pulling all of the equipment up on ropes to the roof, they had to wait for the tide to come back in before commencing shooting. The band chose to work again with director Simon ‘Aukes’ Stolland, who was recently Director of Photography for feature film Blue Story.

In the face of COVID-19, The band feel this is the perfect time to release the video for Easier. The lyrics, “it’s not gonna get easier but/you make me feel a little better”, scream about the community spirit that we all need during these times, with friends and family distanced for so long. Speaking about the song, the band says, Easier was a dream of a song to write. Some songs take months or even years to become their final version. The writing process of Easier just flowed. Simon and Robbie originally started with synth chords and the rest of the song was written in Robbie‘s kitchen within a day. The song became a perfect fit for our EP, NoVella. The essence that we’re all finding each day a little harder is akin to the feelings that the majority of us have gone through fitting into a brand new lifestyle.”

NoVella is out now via Revival Recordings.
