VOLA release new music video for ‘Ghosts’

VOLA have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Ghosts, is taken from the band’s upcoming new album Applause Of A Distant Crowd which is scheduled for release in October.

Speaking about the new music video, frontman Asger Mygind says, “the video was filmed, directed and edited by David and Dennis Kare Anderson and features the band in a more exposed visual representation than what we’ve tried before. We’ve been keen on letting some kind of fictional frame present a story in earlier videos, so for this track we decided that it was time to clearly show our faces and emphasize the atmosphere revolving around a band performance. In conjunction with the obvious live vibe and more to-the-point character of the song itself, this made a lot of sense to us. The video was shot by the western and eastern coast of Zealand, Denmark, in the heat of a historically warm July.”

Continuing to talk about the upcoming record, Mygind says, “I was in a very different place mentally while writing the lyrics for Inmazes. I’m definitely in a happier place now. It was actually a relief to be able to have a wider range of awareness for this record. I think our songs develop in the most natural way if I let my emotional response to the music dictate what the lyrics should be about rather than following any kind of plan. This time the emotions were mostly tied to observations I’ve made about the outside world.”
