Vultures release new music video for ‘Push’

VULTURES have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Push, is taken from the Canadian metallic hardcore outfit’s upcoming new EP Hunger which is scheduled to be released in October. The upcoming EP was produced, mixed, and mastered by Tim Creviston (MISERY SIGNALSSPIRITBOX), and features Larissa Stupar (VENOM PRISON) on track five, This Hunger.

The video for Push was filmed and edited by Matthew Gladman with additional colour editing by Graham Scanlon. In a collective statement, VULTURES say, “throughout Hunger, we poignantly reflect on the struggles of those impacted by substance abuse from a variety of different perspectives. Push specifically is framed around dealers who prey on impoverished and impressionable peoples in order to make a living. In contrast to the undoubtedly negative connotations associated with such a living, we also examine the tribulations of said dealers who feel like they can’t make a living any other way or are forced into this particular line of work.

In order to evoke a visual sense of this lyrical contrast, the Push video makes ample use of vividly cut colored and colorless scenes. A bleak white, black, and grey is juxtaposed against frenetic red and pink in order to add depth and context to the depictions of struggle that we highlight in the song. We chose Push as the debut song and video because we believe it acts as the perfect initial representation of, and introduction to, Hunger as an album. Push displays some new dynamic compositional themes that are emblematic of the album as a whole and serves as a proud standard for the songs that will be shown later on when Hunger is released.”
