Wacken Open Air announces first bands for 2027
Wacken Open Air have announced the first wave of bands for their 2027 festival!
Following the conclusion of this year’s 35th anniversary edition, the world’s largest metal festival has confirmed a host of acts for next year’s event, which is scheduled to take place from July 28th to July 31st, 2027 in Wacken, Germany.
Leading the first announcement are FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, ELECTRIC CALLBOY, HELLOWEEN, KANONENFIEBER, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, DRAGONFORCE, HALESTORM, NAPALM DEATH, and BELPHEGOR. The initial line-up also includes the likes of KNOCKED LOOSE, MALEVOLENCE, JINJER, SYLOSIS, CREEPER, SHADOW OF INTENT, CARNIFEX, GAEREA, IMMINENCE, OVERKILL, and many more.
Notably, ELECTRIC CALLBOY will make their long-awaited Wacken debut, while DRAGONFORCE‘s appearance will mark their only European festival performance of summer 2027.
The confirmed bands announced so far are:
