Wayfarer announce new album ‘Riders Of The Setting Sun’
WAYFARER have announced a brand new album!
The Denver dark Americana/black metal outfit have revealed their new album, Riders Of The Setting Sun, which is scheduled for release on November 20th via Vesperian. The upcoming record follows 2023’s American Gothic and sees WAYFARER pushing their distinctive fusion of black metal, Americana, folk and post-punk into darker, more cinematic territory.
According to the band, Riders Of The Setting Sun represents their most expansive and accessible work to date. Recorded with producer Ben Chisholm (CHELSEA WOLFE) and featuring contributions from James Barone (BEACH HOUSE) and Iver Sandøy (ENSLAVED), the record further explores the mythology, history and haunted landscapes of the American West that have defined the band’s sound for more than a decade.
The album also features an impressive cast of guest musicians, including David Eugene Edwards (16 HORSEPOWER, WOVENHAND), Munly J Munly, MIDWIFE, Kelly Schilling (DREADNOUGHT) and Steve Von Till (NEUROSIS).
To coincide with the announcement, WAYFARER have also unveiled Hollow Hearts On The Trail To Eden, alongside an accompanying music video. The new song is the second single from the forthcoming album, following on from Perdition’s Crossing, released earlier this year.
