XL Life announce debut album ‘The Boogie Down South’

XL LIFE have announced their debut album!

Titled The Boogie Down South, the upcoming album from the Cardiff-based hardcore punk band is their debut full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in January next year, via Venn Records.

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming debut; Baby Steps. The new single features a guest appearance from BOB VYLAN and is the second single to be released from the upcoming debut, following on from Just Do It, which was released back in March.

Speaking about the new single, and working with BOB VYLAN, vocalist Traxx says, “We always felt a kinship with Bob because of his message, his boldness, and his morals, so with this song we took the opportunity to have him on the album and co-sign each other’s work. We will support him to the end. We knew this song had to be made, because we had all been going through some heavy stuff outside of the band. The band has been stop-start/stop-start the whole time, trying to prioritise our health and coming up against some really traumatic circumstances, so this song had to address that. The healing journey. Baby Steps. Holding onto the promises.”
