Mimi Barks releases new music video for ‘Power durch Verrat’

MIMI BARKS has released a new music video!

The Berlin-based genre-blurring doom trap artist has unveiled Power durch Verrat, taken from her forthcoming new EP Dreamstate of Fear, which is set for release on July 24th, 2026.

Co-written with Sam Matlock of WARGASM, Power durch Verrat leans into her rap roots while maintaining the crushing intensity and industrial textures that define her evolving sound.

Speaking about the track, the artist says, “If this song was a movie I’d call it The Consequence of Disrespect… Stylistically it sits somewhere between The Crow and Natural Born Killers. I imagine a female protagonist walking into a strip club wearing full corpse paint and a white tanktop with cowgirl leather flare pants, confronting a past lover with a gun. It’s dark, sexual and romantic in a way and almost theatrical. Then there’s this image of her dancing on the dead body like a stripper, turning murder into performance art. In reality, the song and the video ended up being much more stripped back and DIY than that cinematic vision in my head but people will see that for themselves.”
