Sabina Beyli releases new song ‘Novocaine’

SABINA BEYLI has released a new song!

The new track, Novocaine, marks the latest single from the Azerbaijani-born pop-rock artist and follows on from her previous single, Bones, which was released earlier this year.

Speaking about the single, Beyli shares, Novacaine came from one of those nights where everything felt a little too loud emotionally, and the only thing that made it quiet again was him. I wrote it about three months ago in a completely unplanned session – no intention of making a single, no pressure, just honesty. The song is really about finding someone who becomes your emotional anesthetic in the middle of chaos. Sonically, it lives in this dark alternative pop world with cinematic production and really intimate lyrics. It’s vulnerable, but there’s still tension in it. I wanted it to feel beautiful and dangerous at the same time – like being addicted to something that’s healing you but could also hurt you all at once. That duality became the heart of the record.

What makes Novacaine special to me is that it wasn’t overthought. Some songs take months of chasing an idea, but this one poured out almost exactly as it exists now. Those are usually the records that end up meaning the most because they’re untouched emotionally. I think listeners are going to hear that immediacy in the vocal too – it feels very raw and very close. A good friend of mine Elena de Elia co-wrote this song with me, and Mike Midura produced it!”
