Future Static release new music video for ‘State of Mind’
FUTURE STATIC have released a new music video!
The Melbourne-based heavy outfit’s new single, State of Mind, is taken from their newly released sophomore album, Ornaments & Memories, which is out now via Wild Thing Records.
Speaking about the new single, vocalist Amariah Cook says, “State of Mind took the longest to write, as I always had such a clear vision of what I wanted to transmit. I found it nearly impossible to do so accurately without it being too triggering, whilst also hoping to express profound anger and pain. It’s about the complexity of consent, a situation which unfortunately a lot of us have experienced at some point. Being intoxicated and uncertain of our own memories, leading to an unravelling series of unanswerable questions. I wanted this song to channel that horrible never-ending ambiguity, and for it to act as a harsh warning to everyone (especially younger people) to always wait for that enthusiastic ‘yes’, to be aware of the state of mind of the other party as well as our own before acting upon impulses.”
