Distorted Sound Magazine: Issue 132
ANTHRAX land the cover of Issue 132 of Distorted Sound Magazine, available now!
Well, here we are! Issue 132 of Distorted Sound is here! As we unveil this issue at the tail-end of the summer, it’s been a brilliant season of summer festivals and wicked new album releases and we have a band gracing our cover that needs no introduction: ANTHRAX.
The thrash metal legends are back with their first album in a decade, Cursum Perficio, and it’s a ripper. We welcome the band back to the cover of DS as we sit down with drummer Charlie Benante to blow the lid off their triumphant return!
Elsewhere, we have new interviews with a range of bands across the heavy music spectrum. DEVILDRIVER, FUTURE PALACE, AS IT IS, RUSSIAN CIRCLES, MADBALL, WITCHSORROW, THE HU and that’s just scratching the surface! Plus, we have a special in-depth feature with UK death metal bruisers CELESTIAL SANCTUARY, where we catch up with the band while they were in the studio, hard at work on their anticipated new album.
Our Introducing spotlight shines on ROMES and THE SALT PALE COLLECTIVE, while our Heavy Music History retrospective series takes a dive into one of our festival staples: Outbreak Fest. As ground zero for hardcore in the UK, the festival has evolved into a multi-site, genre-splicing collective that celebrates the art and ethos of counterculture and we dive into the festival’s impact and legacy as it celebrates its 15 year anniversary in 2026. That, and a stack of new album reviews.
Enjoy!
