Bloodstock announces another four bands
Bloodstock Open Air Festival have confirmed another four bands for this year’s festival!
The festival have already confirmed headliners AMON AMARTH and MEGADETH alongside heavy hitters like OBITUARY, ANNIHILATOR, MUNICIPAL WASTE and BLIND GUARDIAN but now, the festival have confirmed another four bands for this year’s festival. Swedish melodic death metal outfit SOILWORK will perform on the Ronnie James Dio Stage whilst Finnish melodic death metallers WINTERSUN and ‘murder metal’ mob MACABRE will headline the Sophie Lancaster Stage. Egyptian death metal outfit SCARAB have also been announced and will perform on the Sophie Lancaster Stage.
Speaking about the announcement, SOILWORK‘s Björn ‘Speed’ Strid says, “we are really thrilled to return to UK soil after a killer mini-tour with ARCH ENEMY last year. That ended with one of the most spectacular and sweatiest shows to date at The Underworld in London. Bloodstock is always a riot and we cannot wait to hit the stage this summer. Bring it England!!!” Similarly, WINTERSUN say, “it’ll be great to come back to the atmospheric Bloodstock. We had a blast in 2011, but this year is extra special since we’re going to play new music for you guys! See ya in August!”

A variety of ticket options are available for this year’s festival. Standard and VIP tickets are on sale now and also available now is the ticket deposit scheme. The payment plan helps ease the ‘big lump’ shock of paying for standard weekend tickets by breaking it up into five smaller, more manageable sums.
