Damnation Festival announce another two bands

Two more bands have been announced for this year’s Damnation Festival!

After announcing INCANTATION, CONANABIGAIL WILLIAMSVALE OF PNATH and BEHOLD… THE ARCTOPUS last month, now, two more bands have been announced for the one day metal extravaganza, as hope builds for the return of live music thanks to the national COVID-19 vaccination campaign.

One-man blackened thrash band HELLRIPPER and American math rock trio DYSRHYTHMIA join the likes of PIG DESTROYERWOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOMBLOOD INCANTATIONELDER and more.

Speaking about performing at this year’s festival, HELLRIPPER says, “we’re excited to be joining an absolutely killer line-up at one of the UK’s best festivals for the first time later this year! We’ll finally get the chance to play some tracks from our latest album The Affair of the Poisons and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone there. Roll on November!”

Festival organiser Gavin McInally adds, “since Bo Jo promised us a return to live music by July, fans of all genres have gone on a ticket buying spree with the likes of Reading, Leeds and Boomtown already sold out and our friends at Bloodstock and ArcTanGent also seeing huge spikes in sales. Damnation has been no different with an incredible upturn in sales over the past several days, leaving fewer than 800 tickets on sale. We will now announce any remaining bands the second we get the all clear from their end so there’s at least a chance for fans of those bands to grab a ticket. The first two of those remaining six bands, HELLRIPPER and DYSRHYTHMIA, offer even more texture to a diverse bill with their take of blackened speed thrash and jazzed-up proggy math rock. The race is now on to get the final four bands announced before the sold out sign goes up.”

Damnation Festival 2021 takes place at Leeds University Union, Leeds on November 6th 2021. Tickets are available now (priced at 2019’s £53) and can be purchased here.
