Gouge Away announce new album ‘Deep Sage’

GOUGE AWAY have announced a new album!

Titled Deep Sage, the upcoming album from the American hardcore band is the follow-up to 2018’s Burnt Sugar, and is scheduled to be released in March this year, via Deathwish Inc.

The band entered Atomic Garden East in March last year with Jack Shirley at the helm, and recorded Deep Sage completely analog and almost entirely live.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Stuck In A Dream. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Idealized, which was released in May last year.

Speaking about the new song and its accompanying music video, vocalist Christina Michelle says, “recording live and to tape creates an intense environment where we have no choice but to feed off each other’s energy. We have to get it right in one take and if anyone messes up we all have to start over, so no one wants to be that guy. It adds an element of risk and excitement. We don’t want to sound beautifully polished or perfect anyway. We want to sound like the five of us being human, and no one is better than Jack Shirley when it comes to capturing what it feels like in the room.”
