Joe Appleford announces debut album ‘Dystopian Dreams, Utopian Nightmares’

JOE APPLEFORD has announced his debut album!

Titled Dystopian Dreams, Utopian Nightmares, the upcoming album from the former BAD SIGN vocalist is his debut solo album and is scheduled to be released in August this year, via AWAL.

The upcoming debut intends to be twelve tracks of attention-demanding character, a concept album about the juxtapositions in modern life. Across the record, Appleford takes on different roles to give this record a kaleidoscopic point of view. The album is designed to take the listener on a journey of self-discovery, of worth, value and identity. When asked about the story behind the record, Joe says, “I want people to connect to the lyrics and draw parallels to things happening in their lives to make a positive change whether that be removing the negative characters and events in life that we feel we have to tolerate or recognising our own capability and believing that we can achieve whatever we want to. This album is about freedom. The freedom to do what you want to do without fear or limitation driven by archaic constructs.”

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, Appleford has released a new song from the upcoming album; Green. The new single is the fifth song to be released from the upcoming debut album; following on from Silver LiningLeechAeonian Fever and The Escapist.
