Opening up the night was guitar guru NICK JOHNSTON. With an immediate effect of coming on stage, Johnston had the ability to capture the entire attention of the venue. It was strange to not see a single person on their phone, not even to take pictures or videos, every single person was enchanted by what they was hearing and witnessing. As far as style goes Johnston certainly had a lot more classic rock roots in him, at some points you could hear elements from the classics such as THE EAGLES and SANTANA, there were hints of Jazz, Blues and Reggae, the way NICK JOHNSTON blended them altogether and played them to this audience was enchanting. It was no wonder that nobody wanted to look at their screens, his performance was endearing and set a bar of high expectations for the rest of the show.

POLYPHIA have established themselves a dedicated following at such an early age and their live performance in Birmingham certainly displayed why. Mixing so many different genres together such as hip-hop, prog, jazz and much more they have made their own sound in the music world and they really work it. Their live persona reflected their music, they were full of energy and charisma, something very charming about the young band. It was certainly the loudest point in the night when they performed Goose and they 100% made their mark.
