Mothman, The Man announce new album ‘Where’s Your Head?’

MOTHMAN, THE MAN have announced a new album!

Titled Where’s Your Head?, the upcoming album from the Falmouth-based psych/garage rock band is the quickfire follow-up to this year’s debut album, 1000 Eyes, and is scheduled to be released in April next year, via Krautpop Records.

The upcoming album was produced, mixed and mastered by drummer Billy Joe Mattack and the album intends to showcase the band’s eclectic influence from a wide source of musical material including psychedelic rock and stoner sensibilities.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Gigantopithecus.

Speaking about the new song, frontman Connor Childs says, “I’ve been interested in myths, urban legends and cryptids since I was a kid, hence the band name MOTHMAN, THE MAN. Because of this, I felt it fitting to write more songs influenced by them. This song, in particular, is about the act of ‘squatching’, which is Bigfoot enthusiast lingo for sasquatch hunting. It follows the main character’s hunt and eventual encounter with the mythical beast. I wrote the main riff initially and titled the recording on my phone Bigfoot Type Beat and the development of the song spiralled from there.”
