Oceans Ate Alaska announce new album ‘Disparity’

OCEANS ATE ALASKA have announced a new album!

Titled Disparity, the upcoming album from the Birmingham-based metalcore band is the follow-up to 2017’s Hikari, which is scheduled to be released to be released in September this year, via Fearless Records.

Speaking about the upcoming album, vocalist James Harrison says, “for us, it’s about uplifting listeners. We want them to feel empowered to realize they can be the change they want. It’s still what we’re doing. It’s been a long time since we put out an album, but we’re here.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Nova. The new single is the second song to be lifted from the upcoming album, following on from New Dawn which was released back in July.

Speaking about the new song, the band says, “in an overcrowded and oppressive modern society, it is all too easy to fall under pressure; collapse inwardly until self-destruct. Nova develops on the aggressive themes that were smashed into the metal world as of recent with New Dawn. Doubling down on chaotic rhythms, overlapping dissonance and vocal hooks that will get your fist pumping in the air. Nova mirrors the inner human disparity, and has you banging your fucking head to it.”
