Sara announce new album ‘Í heiminum’

SARA have announced a brand new album!

The Finnish alternative metal band will release their eleventh studio album, Í heiminum, on January 22nd, 2027. The record follows 2025’s Hallava.

According to the band, Í heiminum explores themes of connection, consciousness, power and humanity’s place in the world, ultimately arriving at the realisation that we are never truly separate from the world around us. Alongside the album announcement, the band have shared a new single, Mitä Ihminen Katuu, the second track to be lifted from the record following the previously released Harhailija.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist/guitarist Joa Korhonen says, “Mitä ihminen katuu originated on an acoustic guitar, but the first version didn’t really feel like a SARA song. I started thinking about taking it to a bigger, heavier direction. The first verse drew some influence from NINE INCH NAILS, and the original, somewhat more traditional acoustic choruses were put through the ‘SARAlizer.’ After that, the pieces started falling into place, and the song grew around heavy riffs and a big, melodic chorus. It’s about what we regret before we rot or burn, wanting to leave but fearing we’ll never return.”
