Sometime In February release new music video for ‘Nightlight’
SOMETIME IN FEBRUARY have released a new music video!
The US instrumental progressive metal trio have unveiled Nightlight, their first new music since the release of their debut album, Where Mountains Hide. Released via InsideOut Music, the new track arrives following a busy summer of live performances across the United States.
Speaking about the new track, guitarist Tristan Auman shares, “Nightlight was written in a headspace similar to our 2024 single Hiding Place. While in the trenches of writing our next record, we wanted to stretch our legs and write something free from the bounds of a bigger picture, and lean into styles that we may only dip our toes into. For this single, it was early-2010s era progressive metal/djent, something we appreciate but usually avoid when writing. In true SIF fashion, it also includes fun and upbeat highs, melodramatic lows, and singable hooks that might make you forget we’re an instrumental band.”

The release arrives as the band continue work on their next studio album, following the acclaim received by Where Mountains Hide, which featured collaborations with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME members Paul Waggoner and Dan Briggs, as well as contributions from THE CONTORTIONIST keyboardist Eric Guenther.
