The Keening announce new album ‘Devotion’

THE KEENING have announced a brand new album!

The project spearheaded by Rebecca Vernon (SUBROSA) has revealed its new album, Devotion, which is scheduled for release on October 16th, 2026 via Relapse Records. The upcoming record follows 2023’s Little Bird and sees THE KEENING continuing to explore a blend of ethereal post-rock, folk, goth and doom.

The album is dedicated to Vernon‘s father, who passed away in May 2025, with the songwriter explaining that the record explores the duality between devotion as love and devotion as addiction. To coincide with the announcement, THE KEENING have also unveiled A Little Bit Of Blood, the lead single from the forthcoming album, alongside an accompanying music video.

Speaking about the video, Vernon shares,Ten Seconds to Comply film company did an incredible job on this music video working within strict parameters, including time. We shot it all over a weekend in Detroit, in two 1/4 days, and seeing the skill, organization, vision and passion they brought to this project (an homage to the movie Only Lovers Left Alive) was really awe-inspiring.”
