Vanity & Deference release track by track guide for ‘Condemned To Repeat’

VANITY and DEFERENCE have released a track by track guide for their upcoming split EP!

The two hotly-tipped emerging metal acts have joined forces to create a spilt EP, titled Condemned To Repeat. Featuring two tracks from VANITY and two cuts from South Coast metallers DEFERENCE, the EP is a collaboration in which each band has invited the other vocalists to share vocal duties. Ahead of the release of the new split EP tomorrow, we asked both bands to give us a track by track breakdown of the EP.

VANITY:

Humane

We’ve always been about expressing different voices, opinions, mindsets and perspectives with our music. No more so than with Humane. It is important for us to create an understanding that there are alternative options to those that are presented to us. By grasping this we are able to change and rectify our decisions to make this world a better place.

Disillusioned

This was born out of frustration. The idea that there is so much potential for goodness in this world, but the blind eye that people choose to take and the way that authorities mask the truth doesn’t enable those voices to be heard. The way that we express ourselves or make our views known can sometimes be difficult. This track is supposed to be about the power of music and how the smallest message can change the world.

DEFERENCE:

Sins

Sins lyrically tackles the implications of climate change on our planet and the entirely desperate nature of our situation. I feel that this is the biggest threat to life as we know it on our planet and I essentially just wanted to voice my frustrations with the lack of action and empathy from some people, mainly the people apparently in charge of our world.

Burial

Burial is about the betrayal you feel from a partner who leaves you or cheats on you and you’re sometimes murderous need for revenge upon that person.

Condemned To Repeat is set for release on April 26th via self-release.
