Skindred’s Benji Webbe in knife attack

Benji Webbe, the frontman of Welsh reggae-metal outfit SKINDRED has had his throat slashed in an attack in Newport.

The attack is said to have taken place as Webbe was returning home from a party last night.

Posting on Facebook, the singer shared a picture of his injuries, along with the caption: “Went to iffys party and ended Getting slashed in the face an throat on the way home, Luke Enos people dem“.

SKINDRED are next set to play a Valentine’s Day show in Japan, followed by the UK’s Download Festival in June

The band’s newest album, Volume, was released in October via Napalm Records.
