PREMIERE: I Am Sentient – A Titan, A Deity

Distorted Sound are pleased to premiere the brand new music video from progressive metalcore band A TITAN, A DEITY.

Formed in 2016, the band have come together from previous established bands to create a fresh sound in the progressive metalcore scene. A TITAN, A DEITY draw influence from notable bands such as NORTHLANE, TESSERACT and ARCHITECTS. They’ve started to make their name known with their heavily praised debut EP, Animate/Redefine which was released back in January, alongside supporting the likes of MONUMENTS, NOVELISTS, LOATHE and THE CONTORTIONIST. With more live dates coming up, they are undoubtedly going to be a name on peoples lips.

The momentum is certainly building for the quintet and we here at Distorted Sound are thrilled to premiere their brand new music video for the track I Am Sentient, taken from their recently released EP, Animate/Redefine. Speaking about the track and video, the band says, “I Am Sentient is a song of change about a man who used to place his faith, hope and belief in religion and turn to God in hard times. His perception has changed and he is now placing his faith, hope and belief in himself and the family and world he’s building around him, trying to overcome some of the darker struggles that can be faced when finding your way in life. The narrative and imagery in this video represents the numbness and almost serenity and stillness there can be in suffering and strife, the disorientating feel as the man transitions from one way of life to another and grows in his perception of reality and his life. Finally it shows the joyous, explosive, triumphant feel of knowing what you want in life and having belief, hope and faith in yourself.
